Keystone Heights FL Real Estate

The city of Keystone Heights was settled in the early 1920's by Pennsylvanians who named the city after the "Keystone State". Situated in the southern tip of Clay County, Keystone Heights is almost 50 miles southwest of Jacksonville, 30 miles northeast of Gainesville and 13 miles south of Starke.

Keystone Heights is known for its multitude of parks. Gold Head State Park has many cabins, picnic pavilions and nature trails. The Leona F. Terry Azalea Park is located in the middle of Keystone Heights and is widely known for its beautiful azaleas that bloom in the spring. This park also has a complete fitness track that is utilized by both locals and visitors. Keystone Beach at Lake Geneva allows visitors to cool off in the water and has many picnic facilities. The Geneva Jungle at Lake Geneva was completely built via volunteer labor and community contributions. Young and old enjoy this park that brings enjoyment to many.

This town is also known for its International Aerobatic Club. This club promotes safe aerobatics flying globally. This particular club, Chapter 90, hosts the annual North Florida Aerobatic Contest at Keystone Heights Airpark. Many come and enjoy the high-flying antics and death-defying stunts safely produced by this league.

The people of Keystone Heights have great pride in their community. This comfortable, serene region has an abundance of civic and social organizations including the Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, the Keystone Golf & Country Club and the Federated Women's Club.

The Lake Region prides itself as being a small family oriented community. It is also home for many retired persons and provides a unique quality of life for all.

In February of 2012, there were 7 residential homes sold at an average price of $64,000.  The highest priced home selling for $121,500 and the lowest priced selling for $19,500.
